GQuack Posted January 29, 2019 Share Posted January 29, 2019 Greetings, not sure this is an ISY issue or a general java question but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Not sure exactly when this started but it has been fairly recently. I had hoped a new update of java would correct the issue but after installing yesterday I still have the problem. Everything has been working fine for some time and now I am getting the java error "Cannot determine a valid Java Home" using the ISY994 Administrative Console icon. I can launch using the admin.jnlp shortcut. I've followed tutorials to set JAVA_HOME on Windows 10 correctly, uninstalled, then reinstalled Java, installed the JDK, all with no success. Any suggestions on where my issue is? Link to comment
Techman Posted January 29, 2019 Share Posted January 29, 2019 If the problem only occurs when you try to access the admin console the try reinstalling (or installing) the ISY Launcher Be sure to clear your Java cache including all applications Here's the link for the launcher Link to comment

Being that your deleted and reinstalled both Java and the ISY Launcher I'm not sure what's causing the error. Did you try rebooting the computer and checking for windows updates? Shadowen Posted March 25, 2019 Share Posted March 25, 2019 I had a similar issue to this when trying to install the latest 64-bit version of the JRE. I even went as far as to manually set the JAVA_HOME (and JRE_HOME) environment variables. It wasn't until I also installed the 32-bit version of JRE that things started working for me again. Not sure why this is happening, but installing both seemed to clear the issue AND it appears to be using the 64-bit JRE as I hoped it would. Link to comment
