aaron Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 New user here. I setup my new ISY99 to turn a light module on and off with a IR remote. But it stops reconizing IR codes after working for about an hour. I unpluged it from the PLM and i started working again. But it stopped reconizing IR tonight and I can't get it to except any IR codes. The LED does not flash like it does when it excepts a IR code. I'm I missing a setting or something? Aaron
oberkc Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I can't be a lot of help, but is it possible your remote batteries are getting low? Batteries in a remote can rebound a bit after not being used, but then quit after a couple of commands.
aaron Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 Oberkc, Thanks for the quick reply, however I'm using a Phillips TSU 9400 remote which has a fully charged battery. So I don't think that is the problem. I didn't mentioned it before but I have 2.7.1 firmware on the ISY. Aaron
Michel Kohanim Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Hello Aaron, Apologies for a tardy reply. If the problem is intermittent, then it could be either the PLM or ISY itself. Would it be possible for you to call us when it stops working? This way we can log in to your system and diagnose the issue. (http://www.universal-devices.com/contact.htm) With kind regards, Michel Oberkc, Thanks for the quick reply, however I'm using a Phillips TSU 9400 remote which has a fully charged battery. aaron Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 Michel, I think I found the problem. Some how the codes got changed on the assigned buttons on the remote. I changed them back to the ISY compatible codes and it is working fine now. So the ISY was never the problem. But thanks for the offer to look at it. Regards, Aaron
