wingman1487 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Ok, I'm finally going to break down and ask since it does seem that several users are successfully using this device and I'm still sitting here wondering what all these nodes are that show up each time I add one. Nodes: Motion Sensor Multilevel Sensor Color Switch Intrusion Alarm Tamper Alarm Tamper Code Alarm Glass Break Alarm Notify Sensor BASIC So the only ones I can get an idea on is the Motion Sensor and the Multilevel Sensor, however with the Motion Sensor once motion is detected, it does not go un-detected until a query is performed on the device or a large amount of time has passed, and the Multilevel Sensor seems to show the temperature in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit and I'm not sure how to change it. Now, I'd assume that the Color Switch has something to do with the different colors the device is supposed to display, however playing with this node I can only manage to make the RGB numbers go up or down from their initial state of 0, and the ultimate result is just different numbers on the node screen and nothing on the device itself (shows no light at all after being linked to ISY). The alarms all seem to be alarms for the device that don't actually exist on this device, or not that I can tell from the HS documentation here (https://cache-m2.smarthome.com/manuals/12682.pdf) The Notify Sensor, that just always shows blank so I'm not actually sure that is anything either. And Lastly the BASIC node, which just reads 0 so I'm not sure there is anything there. I do notice if I right click a node that it gives be a Z-Wave option where I can Set Configuration Parameters, however there appear to be 255 of them and there doesn't appear to be an explanation as to what they are setting, only 1-5 return a Parameter Value when Queried. So I come down to my final point, and I am super sorry this is long, but I am very confused by how this device is showing up on the ISY. There seems to be nodes that do nothing and settings that are unreachable/unexplained. I've seen several posts on here where folks are using this as a night light or for motion, but so far I can't make the lights come on and motion seems to be unreliable without continually querying the device. Any help is greatly appreciated, I feel like I might be missing out on the cool kids club of users who have gotten this working ?

For parameters, you will need to find the full manual on the company's website to see what the parameters for that device are. Every company uses different values for things and that is the only way to find out. Sometimes with zwave devices nodes will show up that arent used and others will only populate if you input the proper parameters to make that happen.
wingman1487 Posted April 18, 2019 Author Posted April 18, 2019 Cool, so I was able to find the parameter definitions here (http://manuals-backend.z-wave.info/make.php?lang=en&sku=HSM200&cert=ZC10-15020009), so that gets me closer to something than nothing. Sadly seems its still missing things like how to keep the light on and color changed as well as switch the reporting from Celsius to Fahrenheit. **Edit** Just checked and the temperature is now showing in Fahrenheit, may have needed time to pick which value the ISY was going to take, from reading it appears the HSM200 sends both Fahrenheit and Celsius.
