Hello,

I just made the leap from v4.73 to 5.0.15A.  I also converted from the series 300 to the 500.  I only have two Zwave devices so I can afford to start from scratch.  I was able to get my Zwave energy monitor working but failed to get my Schlage Connect 469 lock working.  Then I factory reset the Sclage and still nothing.  Then I factory reset the Zwave module and now nothing is Adding/Including.

I tried to do a Zwave firmware and it fails

Can someone look at the screen shot and make sure my Zwave 500 series is at the latest?  Then what is the next best step to getting both of these devices working?

There have been many postings on this topic. The usual culprit is that the Zwave lock is too far from the ISY. Zwave is a mesh network and the more Zwave devices you have, the better tour connections will be. The solution is to add (non-battery) Zwave devices in between your ISY and the lock. Some recommend to get a repeater device, but it is better to get a plug-in device (I recommend Zwave Plus). It will not only act as a repeater but you can also connect a lamp to be controlled by your ISY. The cost of a repeater and of a plug-in is very similar.

If you can, you could also link the lock before putting in your door and link it close to the ISY. I also recommend to perform a Heal every time you add a Zwave device to your ISY.

I got it working!!  I just had to "Remove/Exclude" the devices first.  I never did see them in the list, however that ended up fixing both of my devices.  I thought of that too, I have the lock 2 feet from the ISY for testing purposes.  I just keep getting a RED X from the Schlage lock on programming.

My firmware is correct?

I had problems with my Schlage Z-wave working intermittently even with 2 Aeotec repeaters, and have been working at this for a couple of days.  I removed the repeaters and added them back but still had issues.  I removed the Z-wave repeated and rebooted my ISY and then added the repeaters back in, now all is good, hopefully it stays that way.  Good luck with your issue, hopefully this will be of some help.
