3 months ago I replaced the handful of X10 devices with a few Insteon switches and a ISY-99 controller, not really knowing what to expect.

 

I have been *extremely* satisfied with the results, it has been very dependable and simply does what it is supposed to. Wife acceptance factor 10 / 10 :)

 

I've grown the number of controlled devices to about 40 including several motion detectors. The system has been solid with 3 access points covering my 5000+ sq ft. living space.

 

I've also built native iPhone / iPod Touch and Windows Mobile clients to control and keep an eye on things when away from home.

 

HVAC will be next.
