Issue trying to add a particular Insteon Address

Hi, I’m having an issue with adding an Insteon device to one of my customer’s ISY 994i units.

When we try to add Insteon Device ID: 53.88.96 (Model 2487S 6 button On/Off KeyLinc Rev 7.2 1619), Once we click OK to add the device, the normal box that pops up while it searches to auto-detect the device just flashes once and disappears. It never tries to search for the device.

(They are definitely 8's and not B's and i have tried it both ways)

The same thing happens when I don’t have it auto-detect and try to choose the device type manually.

This is only happening on this one particular device and any other devices that I attempt to add all add just fine.

I’m at a loss of what to do next.

What are your ISY firmware and UI versions?

Try doing a factory reset on the device before you add it.

It may already be added previously. The only time I can remember that happening is when the Insteon address already existed in ISY.
