t-mobile home internet

You should reboot your ISY as the internet IP address changed, and potentially your local internal NAT address & subnet May have changed. Rebooting the ISY will force it to request a new internal address.

You can use the restart from the admin console, or unplug it, wait 10 seconds and plug back in

Yes, I did try this and it didn't help. I also should  add that I am able to connect locally and control my lights, just not remotely through the portal and by extension through alexa. The TMobile router does not have a bridge mode, but I was able to use one of its ethernet ports to connect to my original asus router's ethernet port configured as a WAN. I then reconnected my wired network to the asus router and everything wired and wireless was working through the Asus router except the ISY portal. I went back to the Tmobile router and turned off all security and wireless and every was still working off the asus router, but again the ISY portal remained offline. I used an older router reset to factory settings connected  to my still active cable modem, and plugged in my Isy box. The isy portal came right back online. I do want to keep TMobile home internet because of the $50 per month unlimited access, and the decent speed it has, but it needs to be compatible with the ISY portal. I am hoping for a timely solution to the incompatibility with the ISY portal.

How was the ip set up on your ISY... dhcp or static? The ISY maintaining its previous locally NAT’d IP address might explain the behavior. Look at the system tab in the admin console.

Also while you’re there, try to manually update NTP, does that run or error out?

It was set up as static. I just changed to dhcp  and unplugged the power and network cable. I then plugged everything back in and it all worked. Portal is online and my lights are functioning as before. I am glad it ended up being something simple. Thanks for your help Paul. Since everything is working satisfactorily  now, I will be cancelling my cable modem and sticking with the TMobile home internet .

cool. In a related question, I'd be curious how you feel about the service after you've used it a few weeks. I take it that its a mobile data to lan type of service?

It is 4G LTE.

So far so good. Using with multiple Fire TVs, several computers, many alexa devices, and the ISY994 controlling my insteon switches.

I'll report back in a few weeks.
