Keypad cant get 'A' button to control keypad Load

I have set up the 'A' button to turn on a scene that includes the load for the keypad.  I cant get it to work.  I have tried resetting and restoring the keypad but no luck.  The scene looks correct. It is real simple push 'A' button and it turns on the 'ON' of the keypad which is the load button.

Did you set the main button to turn on in the controller or just the scene

The A button is set to turn on the main load ON of keypad, which is a scene in ISY.  It works when I trigger the scene within ISY console, but not when I physically press the button.

Was you  "A" button in your scene added as a controller? If not then remove it from the scene and then re-add as a controller

I get that. However you must set the light level in  the controller as well

Techman, yes, it was added as a controller.  lilyoyo1, yes, set there as well.
