j.rieff Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 I have two (2) 2477D Dual-Band Insteon Dimmer Switches installed in a 3-way configuration via a Scene. Each of the switches as an independent entity is setup with the 2.0 second ramp rate. Also, each switch in the scene is setup with the same ramp rate. Basically, everything appears to be configured correctly. Now, when I manually turn on the lights with one of the switches, the LED's indicating ramp rate on the other switch rapidly zips to the "top" while the LEDs on the switch that was manually activate appear to follow the 2.0 second ramp rate. The lights appear to follow the correct ramp rate. The same observations with regards to each of the switch LED's occur when the lights are turned off. The ramp rate of the bulbs does appear to be consistent with 2.0 seconds. Now, when I go over to the other switch (the one where the switch LEDs rapidly zipped up), the LED ramp rate now appears to follow the 2.0 ramp rate. The other switch still is showing the 2.0 second ramp rate. The same observations when the lights are turned off with the switch being observed for the LED ramp rate anomaly. Any suggestions on diagnostics? I have verified the ramp rate in all the configuration items for the switches and scene.
larryllix Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Possibly an old program before you discovered Insteon Scenes?Right click on any program and select search from the fall down menu. Find any occurrence of the device acting strangely.Sent using Tapatalk
j.rieff Posted March 1, 2020 Author Posted March 1, 2020 Forgot to mention. There are no programs associated with any of these switches. Thanks for the advice. I will double check.
j.rieff Posted March 1, 2020 Author Posted March 1, 2020 Only the Scene is part of a program. The individual switches are never called out in a program. That program turns on the lights (FADE UP) when it gets dark and turns them off (FADE DOWN) at a preset time.
j.rieff Posted March 1, 2020 Author Posted March 1, 2020 Since I looked at the programs, can anyone direct me to what the different icons mean? I know that the circle with the slash is NOT ENABLED. But, what does a Green Bar or a Red Bar mean. Could not find n the Wiki (probably looking in wrong spot).
j.rieff Posted March 1, 2020 Author Posted March 1, 2020 Answered the last question. It is the status value (Green = True, Red - False). Answer was not in the obvious location.

lilyoyo1 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 If the scene and individual switches are set with the proper ramp rate, I would factory reset the switches and then restore them
j.rieff Posted March 1, 2020 Author Posted March 1, 2020 I was afraid that was the answer. Now, when I do a factory reset, do I need to remove the devices from the network then reinstall them as though they were new devices? Or, do I just need to do the factory reset then reestablish the associations (i.e., scene, ….) and configurations (ramp rate, ….)?

About 15 seconds with the device, and then about two clicks in admin console. Sent using Tapatalk
