1st timer, Linux problem

I am a Linux oldtimer, but new to the ISY994.  My router assigns it a IP# and I can connect to that but get stopped by a ask for user/PW which anything I try fails.  Ubuntu system.

What web interface are you trying to reach?  There's a basic web interface for control but that's all.  To configure and manage the ISY you need to use the ISY Admin Console which is a java app that is installed and loaded through Java Web Start.

Easy way is install the actual Oracle JRE and use that.  Hard way is to go play around with the OpenJDK and IcedTea.

Agree with this entirely.  I've only been able to effectively use IcedTea to start the Admin Console by using the '-- nosecurity' flag.

The default username/password for the ISY is admin/admin.

Also, use the ISY Launcher to access into your Admin Console locally:

So I have switchedto one of my W10 boxes...   so will try again.
