JimLill Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 I am a Linux oldtimer, but new to the ISY994. My router assigns it a IP# and I can connect to that but get stopped by a ask for user/PW which anything I try fails. Ubuntu system.
Mecheng70 Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 Are you attempting to access from a web browser? if so, are you getting a username/password box? did you try admin for both the username and password? https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Resetting_Your_Userid/Password

There's a basic web interface for control but that's all. To configure and manage the ISY you need to use the ISY Admin Console which is a java app that is installed and loaded through Java Web Start. Easy way is install the actual Oracle JRE and use that. Hard way is to go play around with the OpenJDK and IcedTea.

The default username/password for the ISY is admin/admin. Also, use the ISY Launcher to access into your Admin Console locally:
