Alexa is not discovering new devices

Is anyone else having this problem? I made a couple simple programs to add to the ISY portal so I can control them with voice, something I have done many times in the past, but now, for some unknown reason, Alexa is not picking up on them. I've even tried adding an INSTEON device and had the same unsuccessful result. The Google personal assistant is working fine with the new programs and device. Any idea what the problem is and what I can do do about it?

Now that I rethink the issue, I wonder if it's with the ISY portal???

Definitely a problem here.

I deleted all my devices and disabled the skill, to start over. After re-adding the skill and entering portal credentials (which seemed to "take" just fine), NO devices were found, for either of my two ISYs.

I am all z-wave (no Insteon) but I wouldn't think that should matter.

Did you add the devices you want to control with Alexa to the Amazon echo device list in the ISY portal?

Actually, I think the portal is having some connection issues. I can log into into, but not the ISYs via it. Neither of my ISYs, in either building (on separate electric meters) can be reached from the portal. Both are on the same network I'm using for this laptop as I write this, and I can log into one via the admin console over LAN, so the network (LAN and WAN) is up. Will try again later in the day, but that might explain all of this.

Actually, I think the portal is down now. Not accessible from browser or Mobilinc right now. Will try later in the day and report back.

My ISY portal is working fine.

Have you tried actually reaching your ISY(s)? I can log into the portal, but not my ISYs using it. See edits to the post to which you replied.

My ISY is connected to the portal if that is what you are referring? When you log into the portal do you see the your ISY information. By this I'm referring to the UUID and alias.

It's 12:15PM EST and the ISY portal must still be under maintenance or, for some other reason, my ISY cannot connect to the Internet.. MobiLinc does not connect to the ISY, neither the Google or Alexa personal assistants will work with my devices, and although I have a green light on the ISY portal and it says it's online, when accessing Google or Alexa connectivity it says it is not online. I have also rebooted my ISY and router.

I can login to the admin console and control devices and programs locally without a problem.

Seems like some of us can, some can't. On this COVID-containment Easter (with much snow on the ground here in Maine) we're spending it cleaning up the garage. So, will check later. Not a big deal at the moment, and sure UDI will have it back to normal by sometime tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback, all.

OK, so ISYs now once again reachable via portal after rebooting each (pays to have them on a wifi switch, I've found). But no go on Alexa. Will mess with it over next day or two. Far from essential.

Still on gen power after snowstorm (not likely related to Alexa problem), 60 mph gusts and 1.6" rain forecast for today (not helpful in getting power restored), buried a utility knife into my hand yesterday during the garage cleanup (FWIW, Walgreens carries tetanus toxoid and pharmacists can administer them if you ever need to know that), and have to finish a client project I wanted to do on Friday, when I was instead out clearing snow and fallen trees. A busier start to the week than I had planned, but it does help to put the lack of Alexa into perspective!

The issues are now solved.

The part where neither personal assistant or MobiLinc was working must've been because of the ISY portal maintenance, but the rest was my fault.
Even though Alexa said it did not discover any new devices, they were present in the Alexa app under devices, and that is where I noticed the problem. When I added the programs to the ISY portal under the Alexa category I made a typo which made the spoken form unrecognizable. Instead of "Z wave cable" I accidentally entered "Z wsve cable" Duh!

Thanks for the replies.
