Posted October 26, 200717 yr Is there a way to extract the Insteon ID #'s, and the names I've given each switch from the ISY backup? Or is there a way to create the layout if you will of my network with out going into ISY. It would save some typing and time if I could just export the info into a spreadsheet. aLf
October 26, 200717 yr Have you tried the "Tools --> Generate Typology" command? It gives you a html spreadsheet like document.
October 26, 200717 yr If your wanting to add to that document the remaining entries (ie. Is Load, Location, Notes) you have to enter them in the device properties. To get to each device properties go to the Main tab, expand the tree to your ‘My Lighting’, right click on a device, and select properties. In this window you can add details to each device for the spreadsheet.
October 26, 200717 yr Author Hey Mark, thanks. But I was wondering if you could somehow extract the data from the backup-zip? I'm away from site and wanted to creat something--no internet connection yet unfortunately. aLf

October 28, 200717 yr Author Michel: Maybe you could give me a detailed explanation as to howw I could extract the info when (online) with ISY. If the list of devices is available through one of the pull-downs, maybe I could cut and paste from the excel sheet? Thanks.
October 28, 200717 yr Hello aLf, It's quite simple: Tools->Generate Topology. This will create an HTML version with all of your configuration including the addresses, scenes, controller/responder relationships, notes, etc. Please do let me know if this is not what you were looking for. With kind regards, Michel Michel: Maybe you could give me a detailed explanation as to howw I could extract the info when (online) with ISY.
