I have a switchLink that needs to be replaced. I would like to remove its link with a kepadLink and replace the bad switchLink with a new switchLink. Can this be done easily with the ISY and if so what are the steps.

 

Also I am not sure if I need to remove an links it might have with the ISY.

Yes:

1. Add your new device

2. Right mouse click on the defective device and then from the menu choose Replace with ... and then choose the device you added in step 1.

If you would like the new switch to behave exactly as the old one did there is no need to remove any links.

 

1. Physically replace the old switch with the new.

2. Add the new switch to the ISY.

3. Select the old switch, right-click and from the menu select "Replace OldSwitch with > New Switch".
