palayman Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Hi, I have my marine railway connected to an EZIO 2x4 for some time. so that I can use google home to put my boat in and out. I recently swapped out a 200W halogen spot light on the ramp for a 200 W LED flood light. Way brighter, but it screws up the insteon communications when it's turned on. I expect the power supply creates a lot of noise. I am thinking about purchasing a Filter Linc to suppress some of the noise, but don't want invest the $$ if it's unlikely to work. Anyone have experience with these high power floodlights? Paul PS the circuit for the railway and the floodlight is about 200 ft long.
Brian H Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 The EZIO2x4, and new LED light are on the same circuit? A FilterLinc on the LED power supply should help. Provided the total current it used is less than 10 Amps. The EZIO2x4 would have to be on the unfiltered pass through outlet of the FilterLinc or a separate outlet. So the FilterLinc would not also absorb the Insteon Power Line signals to the EZIO2x4. For awhile the Smartenit modules where built on the base Dual Band PLM board. Do you know if yours is Dual Band where Insteon RF could be also looked at?

Thanks, Paul
