someguy Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Here is the program: If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Repeat Every 15 minutes Set 'MasterBedroom-Thermostat' Query Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I go to the program summary tab and right click on the program and turn "Run at startup" ON. Then I right click the program and click "Run (if)". The program continues to query the thermostat every fifteen minutes. Then, a day or two later, I return to the console and the program is no longer set to Run at Startup and the program is no longer running. Any ideas as to what is stopping the program from running and why the "run at startup" won't stay set to ON. (I'd also like to comment that I don't believe that my power has gone out at any time lately.) thanks, Someguy
Michel Kohanim Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Hi someguy, Does your ISY actually reboot itself every one or two days? Otherwise, Run at startup would be meaningless. In the meantime, we'll check into this issue. markens Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Does your ISY actually reboot itself every one or two days? Otherwise, Run at startup would be meaningless. In the program that 'someguy' posted, shouldn't it run forever once started? He reports that it has stopped, in addition to the "run at startup" status being turned off. In the meantime, we'll check into this issue. Here's another data point: I have three programs that should have "run at startup" enabled. I just noticed that none of the three currently have it enabled. Unfortunately, I have no idea when that happened. I am running 2.7.6. I have a separate power supply connected to a UPS, so this isn't a huge issue for me. But I enabled the "run at startup" again for those three programs and will monitor more closely to see if they get cleared. --Mark
TJF1960 Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 I just checked and I have 2 programs set to run at startup, and they are still set to run and I rebooted sometime last week. So it appears mine is retaining the run at reboot. I also am on 2.7.6 Tim
MikeB Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Then, a day or two later, I return to the console and the program is no longer set to Run at Startup and the program is no longer running. Not sure why it's no longer set to 'Run At Startup'. What firmware version are you running? Also - I believe you will need to put an IF condition in if you want it to start at reboot. Such as: If From 12:00:00AM For 24 hours
Michel Kohanim Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Hi markens, Apologies for a tardy reply ... we've been trying very hard to reproduce this problem to no avail. One question: are you sure you do NOT have any other programs that based on certain conditions turn this flag off? With kind regards, Michel
someguy Posted October 13, 2009 Author Posted October 13, 2009 How would I know if the ISY was rebooting itself. It has been doing some odd things lately: I've found my landscape lighting on during the daytime a couple of times. Hi someguy, Does your ISY actually reboot itself every one or two days? markens Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Hi Michel, I'm quite certain that this flag is not controlled by any other program action. I set it manually, and it should stay that way! At the moment, all is still well. And, frankly, I don't expect to see any problems. I suspect that the flags got cleared in some fluke interaction while upgrading/rebooting/etc and will not easily be reproduced. But I wanted to mention it to add to collective data. --Mark Hi markens, Apologies for a tardy reply ... we've been trying very hard to reproduce this problem to no avail. Michel Kohanim Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Mark, Thanks so very much for the update. Please do be kind enough to keep and eye and let us know in case it happens again. someguy, The best way would be to look at your logs and search for Start entries. Please keep me posted. With kind regards, Michel
