Kentinada Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 On the Programs/Summary tab in the Admin portal, I see one program that shows Activity - Not Loaded - and Status Out of Memory. I've never seen that before. I don't have that many programs. I don't see any memory info on the Configuration tab. How do I see how much memory is used and by what?
Brian H Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Do you have a PRO version of the ISY994i? What revision firmware and does the UI match that version?
Kentinada Posted November 1, 2020 Author Posted November 1, 2020 The firmware and UI are v.5.0.16C. I don't remember if this is a Pro version or not. Is there a way to check? Even if it's not, I just don't have that many programs. Is there someway to check the memory usage on it?
Brian H Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Help Tab. About choice. Will give you the firmware, UI, model of ISY994i, memory information and any Optional modules installed. If you have the PRO version it will be shown as a PRO. Also if you have a Disable Automatic writes and Disable Automatic writes to Battery Operated devices features. That is only in the PRO version. The non PRO models limit the number of programs and scenes it can use. If you hit the limits. You can't add more programs and scenes. I can't find the limits in my notes. You can purchase the PRO optional module if needed. It is pure software change. You purchase it and UDI enables it remotely. You may want to see what others can contribute to your problem.
Kentinada Posted November 1, 2020 Author Posted November 1, 2020 Well I don't have the Pro version but I see that is an add-on module I can purchase for $30. I'll wait and see if anyone has any other ideas. I did add Z-wave to the ISY this summer and maybe that is taking up some memory. I'd sure like to see some kind of memory report though. Thanks.
Brian H Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Tools, Diagnostics, System Status also has some memory information in it.
Kentinada Posted November 1, 2020 Author Posted November 1, 2020 OK, that was helpful and sort of confirms my thought that I should not be out of memory. See attached. Looks like I have a lot of free memory.
Bumbershoot Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Normally you need to edit/save or delete the programs that show their status as "Out of memory". In my experience, this happens when a device is removed from the ISY that is referenced in a program and the program isn't edited to reflect the absence of the device (mostly in the "IF" stanza, if my memory serves correctly). Your ISY isn't out of memory, you just need to edit/save or delete the programs.

Z-Wave does waste some nodes.... I seem to remember that you have a Polisy, if so add the ISY Inventory nodeserver. then Compare the totals to this chart which shows max nodes of 254 and max programs of 300 for the non-pro ISY versions. As others have mentioned to upgrade to pro just purchase the upgrade thought the admin console/UDI website... the upgrade is instant.
Bumbershoot Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 @Kentinada, I found a couple of examples of this "Out of memory" issue caused by deleted devices. Below is a program that produces this, with the text of the program in which you see where the ISY inserts comments in the "If" stanza where the device was specified. MotionSensorLowBattery - [ID 000C][Parent 0004] If // Warning: Unrecognized Condition (program may not run) // <control OP="IS" NODE="36 84 1 3" ID="DON"/> // Or 'Devices / dirWestHall / msWestHallNorth-Sensor / msWestHallNorth-Low Bat' is switched On Or // Warning: Unrecognized Condition (program may not run) // <control OP="IS" NODE="4A 56 56 3" ID="DON"/> // Or 'Devices / dirMasterBath / Master Closet Motion Sensor.1 / 4A.54.9E.3 Low Battery' is switched On Or 'Devices / dirGarage / msGarage / msGarage Low Battery' is switched On Then Send Notification to 'Brad' content 'Motion Sensor - Low Battery' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
Kentinada Posted November 1, 2020 Author Posted November 1, 2020 @BumbershootYes, the program that didn't load into memory has errors like this. Thanks. @MrBill I loved the ISY-Inventory nodeserver into my Polisy (Good memory!) but I'm not sure where to look for the results. Is it in the Admin console? ISY Portal? Any pointers appreciated. Thanks all!

If the admin console was open when you installed the nodeserver close it and reopen.
Kentinada Posted November 1, 2020 Author Posted November 1, 2020 I did that and this is what I see in the Admin console. Should I see more data?

Kentinada Posted November 1, 2020 Author Posted November 1, 2020 OK got it. I had my username/password from my ISY Portal. I changed to username/password from the Admin portal and it is now populated. Thanks. 1
