Does anyone has any updates re additional features that are in development for MobiLincX? Ip cameras notifications etc?

Hi @marcin

I've got a number of features in development. If you are a current MobiLinc X subscriber, please upvote the features you want to see under Settings->Feature Request in MobiLinc X.

If there's a feature you want, but don't see listed, send me an email to support@mobilinc.com with the request.

Thanks Wes, do you have a timeline or idea when the next update will be released?

Hi @marcin

I'm sorry, I don't have a timeline. Updates ship when they are ready.

Wes apologies, but I have not seen any new updates. Are you still planning on developing X version? Or should we switch back to the old one. I do miss push notifications.

Mobilinc X exists already. However, notwithstanding Wes' good work, I personally have gone back to Mobilinc Pro as it better serves my needs.

Thank you and with all due respect, I'm fully aware of that, as I recently renew my family yearly subscription for Mobilinc X. At this point Mobilinc X is a remote not even close where Mobilinc Pro was.

I feel that there was no significant development in past year. Therefore, I'm trying to figure out if I should switch back to Pro or continue supporting new version in hopes of getting this same bells as the Pro has.

I asked Wes (apologies if I wasn't clear) to see if Mobilinc X is a project that he will continue working on and providing new improvements or if that is not on the roadmap or near future.

Hi @marcin

MobiLinc X is where all my development effort is. If you find that Pro served your needs better, then by all means hop back to MobiLinc Pro! Pro is still a solid app that a lot of folks like to use for different reasons.

Integrating Push directly inside of MobiLinc X is still very much on the roadmap. But I don't have any announcements to share today.

If you haven't already, make sure to upvote the features you want to see in MobiLinc X under the Settings tab. If something you want isn't listed there, make sure to email me at support@mobilinc.com so I can track what folks are looking for in the new MobiLinc X app.

Hi Wes,

Wanted to check in to see if you have any progress on MobiLincX?

Hi @marcinThanks for checking in!

I don't have any announcements to share today. Is there something specific that's on your mind for MobiLinc X?

I think people just want to see new features added in general since they are continually paying $100.00+ a year for the app via the subscription model.

Even for the direct method, 75.00 is still a lot to many people not to see any upgrades in over a year.

I think the op mentioned what he was looking for in the first post.

Thanks @lilyoyo1

The subscription fee is primarily there to cover my costs running the servers and support.

Thanks for the pointer to the first post. IP Camera notifications I don't have any plans to bring to MobiLinc X. It's a surprisingly expensive feature to run and as such I had to price it separately in MobiLinc Pro/HD. I haven't seen the adoption or demand for camera notifications on Pro/HD in the years I've had it there to justify the cost, development, and other expenses in bringing it to MobiLinc X.

I suspect that once the big camera players in this space like Ring, Nest, and others added similar functionally it somewhat took the wind out of the sails of this feature.
