Got my new 500 dongle installed in my ISY and added my first device..."GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Tamper Resistant Smart Outlet".  Worked like a charm!

My questions is:  What are all the different nodes that it installed used for?

It has:

  1. On-Off Power Switch
  2. Basic Scene Ctl 2
  3. Basic Scene Ctl 3
  4. Scene Button 1
  5. Multilevel Switch
  6. Multilevel Switch 2
  7. Multilevel Switch 3

I can use #1 in a scene and it turns on and off as expected....not sure what the others do?  I searched to try and find some explanation, but didn't see anything.  Can someone point me in a direction to read up on it or explain what these nodes do?

Thanks.

There will always be phantom nodes with zwave due to underlying code and how the isy handles those. Only the ones in the manual for the device will do something. You can delete the ones you don't need.

Some may be for different classes that can be used by setting parameters. You'll want to check with the mfg. about that

Thanks for the info.  There wasn't anything in the manual (folded paper that came with it) that talked about the nodes that I could find.  So all I need is the on-Off Switch and just delete the rest?
