Identical switch devices showing up differently in ISY

I have multiple Leviton zwave dimmers and recently added a new one (same model as all others) to my isy994 (v5.3.0 w/ 500 series zwave module).  My existing dimmers show up in the GUI with the little button/controller icon next to them and I can add them as controllers to scenes.  This new switch, when added shows up in the GUI with the lightbulb icon next to it and i'm unable to make it a controller to a scene.  It responds totally fine to zwave commands but something is not right here.  I've removed/readded with no luck and the only thing I can think that is different here is that this is the first switch i've tried to add since upgrading my zwave module from 300 to 500 and and my version to 5.3.

Other thing i've noticed recently (maybe or maybe not related) is that I no longer have the option to heal zwave network in the zwave menu.  Edit: after a little digging I realize now that the ability to heal the entire network at the top level has been removed so this behavior is expected and unrelated to my issue.

Anyone experience anything similar or have any suggestions?

It could be different firmware causing this. One way to find out would be to remove an existing switch and re-add to see if it changes

I have three Aeotec window/door sensors, bought same time, stamped same rev, same date and each one shows up different.  Started when switched to 5.  They work as simple contact sensors so let it be.  I am over it.  Best of luck.

Good suggestion.  Although I’m hesitant because this may ‘break’ a working switch I’ll try it to narrow things down a bit and report back.
