CURRENT AVAILABILITY:  ACCEPTING TESTERS

Hi All, 

We are starting iOS testing with Apple Test Flight alpha testers.  At this time the app supports multiple ISYs simultaneously,  nodes (Insteon, Zwave, and Node Servers), Scenes, Programs, Variables, Network Resources, and Favorites.  At this time we are looking for ANR (app not responding), crashes, sync errors, missing controls, and control update errors.  Please hold feature requests until further notice as we are still in the process of adding features which are included in the Android version.

 

To be added to our Apple Test Flight group please send me a PM. Include the email used with Apple, ISY firmware version, iOS version(s), and let us know if your ISY is connected to the ISY Portal .  Users with ISY Portal subscriptions are preferred for the first round of testers as it will be much easier to diagnose issues. Minimum firmware requirement is 5.0.16

Same here.... I was skipping this sub-forum and only scanning it every few days because i don't own anything android and I wasn't expecting an iOS announcement, by the time I found the post it was already full.  I hope new slots open soon, making sure to check the new posts here everyday again.

I'm waiting as well. My existing app is set to renew next month at a premium. I have not seen any updates in over 8 months, and it doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon.

Any update on this App? I need remote control and trying to decide if I should wait or go with Agave. Thanks

Currently in alpha testing. App has all node/node-server controls and status values, it still needs a couple of bug fixes,  favorites, and a few security upgrades for Portal connections before open testing.   We will open to a few dozen additional alpha testers in about a week.

Last nights release to 0.0.9 is amazing.  I worked with it for a little while the morning and the addition of favorites is my favorite so far!

The new "Favorites" feature make a nice difference and it makes the App very attractive.

 

Any idea if the iOS app will support RGBW controllers?  I recently installed some in my house but neither Mobilinc nor Agave supported them.  I can change the colors in the ISY admin console, but it would be nice to do it from my phone.

Hi @smacbride,

If the RGBW controllers are Nodes in the ISY then the app should be able to control them.  If you encounter Nodes which can not be controlled please report it to us so we can find the error.

There are a few know Node Servers with errors in the configuration files which may prevent the app from controlling them.   We have created pull request to fix Node Servers with known configuration errors, however some are still awaiting the authors approval. 

Hi @Javi, They are zwave devices, so I think those are handled as nodes in the ISY.  So they should work ?

Yes, all Z-Wave devices are Nodes. So, they should have the same controls available in the Admin Console.

I forgot where to send issues, so I am doing it here.

While clicking on Manage Modules a first time I got the attached error message and a little later the App crashed. The second time I did not get an error message.

I'll investigate the error bytes not being decoded (optional).  Was this on today's release 0.1.4 or a previous version?

After loading the app, entering my portal and Local Network info, and doing a Sync, the app displays "Sync UD Mobile with ISY" and displays devices and programs being sync'ed for a minute or so. Then "Getting Node Files from ISY" and a spinning spoke; and remains in that display indefinitely. I waited 20 minutes before selecting Cancel. Rebooting the iPhone, and launching the app again, it stops each time at the same point when doing a sync.
Test System On Local Network returns: Connection Successful!
ISY v5.3.3.
Suggestions, please.

It appears the sync is failing somewhere.  If you are open to a remote diagnostic please PM me with your UUID (Admin Console > Help > About) and I will provide additional instructions.

Javi found my issue in very short order. An ampersand "&" in the name of one of my Network Resources was causing a problem during sync node parsing. I've removed the problem character and Javi has noted the issue.
