TheEther
I dont think the issue is Firmware frankly. It appears to be a hardware issue with the ISY. I've tried different Ethernet cables, different switch ports, a different switch and hard-setting the switch ports to 100-full and 10-full. I'm using an Aruba enterprise class POE switch (no consumer class garbage). I've verified no packet loss elsewhere on my LAN. I dont know of anything else to try on the ISY. Thoughts? Suggestions welcome or time to replace it? Thanks! TheEther
I'll also add this ISY-994i is 10 years old (or very close to it). Been a great unit. Ordered a replacement today. I've been noticing my Insteon stuff has been flaky lately and it appears due to Tcp timeouts, that'd be the reason. Link to comment
Brian H
Did you ever try a replacement power supply? We have seen reports of strange things happening. I had failures on an ISY99i and my present ISY994i. If you are using a 2413S PLM they also have a reputation of failing and strange things happening Link to comment
io_guy
In my last house I had similar packet loss when my ISY was connected to a non-managed 5-port TP-Link switch that also had an Amcrest IP camera on it. It appeared that the ISY couldn't handle all the multicast traffic coming from the camera. Once I moved the camera over to my main managed switch, all was ok again. Link to comment
TheEther
Wanted to follow up on this. After buying a new ISY 994i ZW+ IR/Pro and transferring everything over. I had the same issue. So... Packet captures, wire sharks and switch mirror ports fun ensued. Narrowed it down to my Plex Media Server. ....and making a very long story short. Disabling the DLNA server in Plex Media Server (PMS) fixed the issue. Good news is I have a shiny new ISY. Link to comment
