I have ISY994iZw fw v 5.3.1, Z-Wave v 6.82.01. Have Aeotc Siren Gen 5. I am unable to "Include/Add a Z-wave device". I have tried to Exclude before Including. Have tried to Reset the device using user guide instructions. Each attempt to Include results in "The Z-Wave network failed to securely (S0) add your device, Please remove the device and try adding it again." Has anyone been successful Including this with the ISY994iZW? Also, if you were not successful with the GEN 5 device, have you tried the GEN 6 and experienced better results? If none of these of work, with what device have you experienced positive results (Other than INSTEON Siren 2868-222 which I haven't had any problems with but we have all experienced unreliable supply with INSTEON devices I'm sure such as the mini remote switch #2342-242 which is critical to my intended application )?

Yes, but I don't know of any other suggestions for you other than maybe adding it close to ISY w/o going through any repeaters.

I am using 5.0.16C firmware.  My Zwave version is 6.81.  I didn't know there were newer versions available.

Aeotec shows the Aeotec Siren as compatible, and tested, with the ISY. Try moving the siren to a different location and adding again.

Make sure your firmware and UI match. Bring the siren within 3 feet of Isy to add

Any update on this? I just got a siren 6 and for the life of me cannot add it...

@Ajax What Firmware and UI are you running? What z-wave controller do you have? (make sure you're using the correct firmware for the controller you have). What's your z-wave version?

I don't use Z-Wave, but this additional information might help others help you in the process of resolution.

And in the future maybe start a new thread so your problem gets ideal attention rather than vague post to a post that's been dead 4 months.

PS: Did you see this thread about the Aeotec Siren 6?

Thanks not sure how I missed that one! Also I always thought people like continuing threads with similar/same problems. I dont want to come off as always needing to create new threads like I did not put the time into searching, but will keep it in mind.

I have other Z-wave devices that functions just fine, but below is the info.

Thanks. Hope some that have z-wave help. It's a mix bowl for continuing threads. Personally, I'd prefer a new thread with a link to a possible existing thread. But it seems so many threads have multiple problems in them with a different solution for each problem. So I think it's just cleaner to start a new thread and link to prior issue and say you've tried those troubleshooting steps so not everything is rehashed.

Hope others with z-wave experience can help you out.
