Posted November 27, 200915 yr I've been setting up and enjoying my new ISY99, but encountered an odd problem when trying to add email recipients to the notifications - there's no "add" button! So I haven't been able to successfully add recipients. I'm accessing my ISY on a mac running OS 10.6.2, I've cleared the java cache, and used various browsers, all with no effect. Any help would be appreciated! I've attached an image in case it helps!
November 27, 200915 yr Hello golfleep, I do apologize for the inconvenience. Please try http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.7.6/admin.jnlp and let me know if this problem goes away. If so, then it would be best to upgrade your ISY to 2.7.7 (currently in alpha) when it comes out shortly in beta. With kind regards, Michel
November 27, 200915 yr Author Sort of worked The add button is now there, but now the text field is gone. Also the SMTP settings area shrunk quite a bit. I actually got it to work by accessing from a PC, so it's definitely a Mac Java issue.
November 27, 200915 yr Hi golfleep, Thanks so very much for the update. Would you be kind enough to try the following URL instead (you might get a request failed dialog that you can ignore): http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.7.7/admin.jnlp . With kind regards, Michel
November 27, 200915 yr Author Michael, Yup that seemed to work! About the only issue I can see now is that the window no longer fits on the screen (my screen is 1280 x 800), so it require a little bit of scrolling, but definitely not a big deal! Thanks for your help! Perry
November 27, 200915 yr Author Michael, Forgot to ask, is there a way I can save this java applet (if that's the right term?) as a freestanding application, so that I won't need a browser to access the administrative console? Thanks, Perry
November 27, 200915 yr Hi Perry, The URL you are using is actually a Java application which does not require a browser. When you first download the application, an Icon with the name "99i Administrative Console" is automatically placed on your desktop. Please ensure that you have this icon. With kind regards, Michel
