Somfy 'my'/favorite setting from ISY?

We just had Graber blinds put in from a costco deal.  We went with Somfy with the Z-Wave Bridge ZRTSI,  everything works well on ISY 994i/ZW Pro,

Question though is there a way select the favorite or 'my' position from the ISY rather than just all the way up or all the way down?

Each RTS channel in ZWave creates 2 nodes, Binary Switch Controller which does all up or all down, and a Class A Motor Ctl,  which has a lot of settings but at most just does all up or all down, with the combos I tried.  So if it's possible I have not found it and it would be really nice in the morning.

Thanks!

BTW if your installer uses the new RU30 Jr motors you may run into issues that it can only listen for 4 channels, which is easy to hit if you have more than one RTS remote, maybe a group, and pair it with the ZRTSI.  You will get a dreaded confusing up up up down down down jog.

The ZRTSI and ISY only allows either open or closed and doesn't recognize "MY". Unfortunately there's no work around.

As far as the ISY is concerned, either the Binary Switch Controller or the Class A Motor Ctr will operate the motors.

@brockp can you create scenes in the device you have? I've got the Somfy shades, but went with the mylink wifi controller. I don't have it integrated with the ISY (never wanted to go that far), but in there I can create scenes that lower/raise the shades to the "my" setting. I can then add that setting to Alexa and tell Alexa to turn the scene on.

Not sure how the z-wave device works so if you can't set specific scenes in there it might not be possible for you (as Techman states).

The ZRTSI is a Zwave to RTS bridge. Being that the only way to control the shades from the ISY is Zwave using the ZRTSI a scene won't make a difference as the only two node options are on or off.

It's possible that the Polisy with Wi-Fi may be a work around as the Somfy Mylink is a Wi-Fi to RTS bridge.

I use the URTSI II for ISY integration which has full control (up,down, stop, jog-up, jog-down) and do not own the ZRTSI. However I do recall reading somewhere that this device acts as a dimmer and will send the STOP/MY command if set to 50% (could have also been 25% or similar 255 variation). Has anyone tried sending a REST command with a 50% param.  I'm sure the nodeDef does not support this param but I have seen other devices respond to commands which are not defined.

/rest/nodes/<address>/cmd/DON/50

How are you interfacing the URTSI II with the ISY as it only has inputs for RS232 and IR.

iTach w/ Network-Resources along w/ a few programs.  Allows my KPLs to control Somfy in every room with on, off and fade up/down presses.  Looked at the Somfy (?) node server a while back but it needs some improvements for full control.  Most of this was done before the ZRTSI was released.....Did you try the 50% command?

I'm using the ZRTSI so the 50% option isn't an option as the ZRTSI won't recognize it.

Which is why I suggested a rest command with the 50% parameter to test. I have encountered nodes will accept undefined commands and some that report an undefined status back to the ISY.

Some examples are rest commands to Insteon binary switches which will accept and report back On-Level (not defined), and rest command sto the Hue Bridge Node Server will accept on (DON) with 0-256 values even though on (DON) parameters are not defined (only Brightness is defined).  So this leads me to believe the ISY will try to send a command/parameter even when not defined.

If this works then it may be possible to create a workaround, the workaround process would differ dependent on how the node is defined in the Zwave definition.  If the definition allows on (DON) and a param (0 or 100) a program variable could be used to set the param to 50, If no params are defined a network resource could be used...

Tried mine with a Rest. A DON of 0 closed them, and a DON of 1 or higher just opened them, including 25, 50 and 99.  Tried 1, 25, 50 and 99, no luck.

From reviewing the forum, I found that a 'Fade Stop' from the ISY will result in the shade motor going to the 'my' position.  Can confirm it works, by using UD Mobile I issued a Fade Stop command to the Shade motor and it resulted in the shade going to the 'My' position setting.  Hope that helps

Were you using the ZRTSI or the URTSI?

The ZRTSI communication with the Somfy motors is not bi-directional so the ISY and ZRTSI have no way of knowing the status or position of the shades.

Is this the zwave version ZRTSI?

The point was that a work around found by others with non-ISY zwave controllers was to set ON to 50%  which triggered the MY command, the status is not important and will never be know by any of the wireless RTS controllers.   If @jwagner010 is not using the zwave version I wonder if setting a basic node with a value would work (Left-Click node, Z-Wave, Add/Refresh Basic Node).

A quick search and an Amazon review appears to confirm what I remember "50% level command is working" (https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1PHGHIOB9FAH9/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00HSOMH0M)

I use variables to let my programs know if the shades are open or closed.

If one were to use fade stop does the somfy motor status in the ISY show as open or closed?
