rogressem
I'm still getting familiar with the ISY-99 and Insteon, so bare with me. Quoting Michael from a different post: BEGIN QUOTE "........If you already have all your devices linked in ISY, then you would NEVER EVER need to use the paddle press/set button on any of the linked Insteon devices unless you wish to reset them......" END QUOTE So if I have a RemoteLinc, does this mean I should never link it directly to something link a Switchlinc, and instead link my RemoteLinc to an object (i.e. Scene) in the ISY...or am I mis-interpreting his statement. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Brian H
If ISY doesn't do the linking for you. It will not know your system completely and may have incorrect status of RemoteLinc changes. Both of my RemoteLincs where linked through my ISY99i. Buttons to scenes. Have you had a chance to down load the users manual? http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/i ... rguide.pdf Quote Link to comment

Just out of curiosity, can a Insteon responder be linked to more than one controller (i.e., two different RemoteLincs controlling the same Switchlinc). That seems to be a very basic concept that I haven't grasped yet. I've gone through the user's guide, but just got hung up on this point for some reasone. Quote Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hi rogressem, Yes, one responder can be controlled by many scenes and many controllers. With kind regards, Michel Quote Link to comment
