BUT... what version firmware is each? You may have trouble if the firmware versions are different. What was the reason for getting a new one is the old one still working?

The old one is still working but I have to reboot it before attempting to work on it because it gets too slow. I tried replacing the sd card but that didn't help. I'm guessing it's near 10 years old now. thanks

However...best case would be to upgrade both to 5.3.4 (the new one might ship that way, not sure what version UDI is shipping). Doesn't look like the old has Z-wave so the '300 series don't upgrade past 5.0.16C' doesn't apply. upgrade from 5.0.16C to 5.3.4 is smooth sailing... So make backup, Upgrade old to 5.3.4, make a new backup, restore new backup on new ISY that also has 5.3.4 firmware. The gist is restore to the same firmware version that created the backup. 1

And how many nodeservers are you running (if any?). mongo Posted November 5, 2021 Author Posted November 5, 2021 I'm running it from 5 machines, 2 are months old. 5 linux and 2 windows os. I've already adjusted the java memory, tried different versions etc. The http interface also slows down.

I know you've got a replacement ISY (either on hand or on order), but have you opened a support ticket with UDI to see if something else was going on? I've never heard of an ISY getting sluggish. To me it either works or not. Perhaps @Michel Kohanim might have some insight. Otherwise, open up a support ticket and maybe they can help you troubleshoot a few things to be sure your existing ISY is okay or if you really need to replace it. mongo Posted November 8, 2021 Author Posted November 8, 2021 My bad and apologies! I noticed it seemed to happen overnight, so I disabled all the timed events and all was well the next day. Went through all my programs and found one buried in subfolders with a time range that I never quite finished ? It was exhausting all memory. 1

Another was going to ask if you kept admin console open all the time or only as needed? Some people keep it open and it can really create strangeness on computers. Admin Console is not meant to be kept open 24/7. Besides, it's Java based...who really wants that running on a computer 24/7? Glad you found an errant program and resolved your issue. 1
