Hit limit on adding Mini Remotes

I'm on V.5.0.16

I was trying to add a mini remote 8 button, and it stopped at first 4 buttons.

Tried several times, same result.

So after 4 buttons, tried another one, NONE of the buttons, just error.

Seems like I've hit some kind of limit.

Tried rebooting ISY, same results.

See attached...

Is your device a 4 scene or 8 scene? (do you have buttons A - H)

Make sure the battey is fully charged before you try to link. Being that it's an RF only device try moving it closer to the PLM. If that doesn't work then do a factory reset on the device and try again.

What is you UI version

There's 2 possibilities:

The base ISY is limited to 264 nodes.  I can't tell how many you have in folders, but I see one of your folders is named "zwaveStuff" and z-wave devices do eat the node count up fast.   You probably need to buy the Pro Upgrade to increase the number of nodes to 1024.   (I can tell by looking at the ribbon at the top of the admin console that you don't have Pro.)  See the help menu to Purchase Modules.  Note that Pro is a soft upgrade, meaning it's instant, you don't have to wait for anything to be shipped etc....

The second possibility is that the 8 scene remotes are programmed as 4 scene remote.  If pressing the left side of the remote Button makes the LED on the remote flash RED and pressing the Right buttons makes the LED on the remote flash GREEN then they are programed for 4 scene's instead of 8 and will only add 4 nodes to the ISY.    They can be reconfigured as 8 button remotes following a procedure in the manual.  See Page 9 of the PDF.

Thanks!

I was sure i purchased the pro... but on v4...
Would i have to re-purchase v4 to v5?
I don't see any module purchases at https://www.universal-devices.com/my-account/
I have isy portal account to run my Google devices... is that not pro module?

I can't 'add' my device, as i don't know exact date for 'purchase date'
(so i can't see what i've purchased, or purchase more)

Sounds like Pro issue may be bang on... i suspect

the nodeserver ISY-Inventory does node counts.

check with support@universal-devices.com (they answer quickly most of the time) be sure to include the UUID of your ISY.

In the Help Tab, About choice. Will give you what your ISY994i has in it.

The Pro should have a choice tab. To disable automatic module updates so you can do changes one at a time.

Thanks Mr Bill!  That was it... i took a chance and just upgraded to pro.  Even if i had purchased in past, its worth it just to support UDI (and i probably didn't, and thought i had).  I didn't have time to figure out the nodeserver thingy, but would like to at some point. Now happily adding devices!
