Thinking of getting one, to monitor the activity at a mailbox with a vertical swinging door.

Looks to be right up to date, 700 series and all. There was this cautionary note at the supplier ...

------

Beta release:   you may need to update the firmware in the near future to get full functionality of your device; the device may not be fully compatible with your hub at the time of this release.

Anyone got and installed one of these, to work with the Polisy/700 dongle?

I have one and it seems to work with IoP.  The node names that are created are confusing.  I tried to put it inside the metal mailbox and that did't work very well.  I ended up using a window sensor on the side of the mailbox with a magnet on the lid.

Was the issue reception, from inside of the box? If so, I guess you could put it on the outside top, perhaps a bit "ugly".

Which window sensor did you end up using, the ZSE41?

Reception was the problem.  I thought maybe when the lid was opened, the sensor would be able to transmit.  Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.  Placing the sensor on the top worked but it's ugly and would get the afternoon Arizona sun. I used the ZSE41 but I used some small magnets from Amazon that would fit inside the lip of the lid.
