Unable to Enable Internet Access

ISY-99i/IR Pro v2.7.0

 

When I select Enable Internet Access from the menu I get a "Failed Enabling Internet Access" message after a few seconds.

 

I can't seem to find any diagnostic or configuration tips on this topic.

 

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Hello spage,

 

This is mostly due to a router that is not UPnP enabled. In all cases, though, it's much more reliable to do create manual port forwarding in your router. This will persist router reboots whereas UPnP loses the rules:

OK understood

 

the router is a Cisco 2801 which is a g=bear to configure. I will give Cisco a call and set up port forwarding. I guess I can choose any port I want using a telnet command - right?
