Debug 2.4 line data?

Featured Replies

Is there some way to monitor line traffic via telnet with 2.4? I use macs, so the Excel log function doesn't work for me--I'm not able to test whether that has the data I need.

Thanks!

Hello isnoop,

You can monitor the line traffic, in telnet, if and only if you have the debug version. In the production version you cannot.

This said, however, you do not need Excel to view the file. The output of the log goes to UDReport.rtf (tab delimited) in your Java's temp directory.

What specific information are you looking for?

With kind regards,

Michel

Aah, that's good news! I must have tried to downloaded that spreadsheet 20 times on my laptop and nothing ever happened.

I have some wireless products that I'm trying to tame. I bought an EZX10RF which is supposed to turn wireless X10 signals into wired Insteon, but it's not working out and suspect either I'm doing it wrong or the receiver is bad. I'll have a look at the logs tomorrow and find out.
