TWalker01 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I have been using the ISY994 for several years with lots of successful automation. In fact it is still working and I am able to connect using MobileLinc and see that my devices and programs are working as expected. However I am now unable to access the console to see and modify my programs. It simply never appears although before today it has always worked. I can start the dashboard from the ISY finder, but not the admin console. The JAVA starts to run and then just stops. No console is displayed. I have (after reading all I can find in the FAQs and documentation and this site): 1. Rebooted the PC I am using 2. Rebooted the ISY994 along with all of the routers and switches 3. Updated JAVA 4. Cleared the JAVA caches (trace and log files, cached applications and applets, installed applications and applets) 5. Checked the JAVA security (high) and added https://isy.universal-devices.com to the exception site list 6.Verified that no VPN is running I have enabled the JAVA console and run with level 5 logging: Java Web Start 11.351.2.10 Using JRE version 1.8.0_351-b10 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM JRE expiration date: 2/18/23 12:00 AM console.user.home = C:\Users\Tom ----------------------------------------------------😄 clear console window f: finalize objects on finalization queue g: garbage collect h: display this help message m: print memory usage o: trigger logging p: reload proxy configuration q: hide console r: reload policy configuration s: dump system and deployment properties t: dump thread list v: dump thread stack 0-5: set trace level to <n> ---------------------------------------------------- Trace level set to 5: all ... completed.network: Cache entry not found [url: https://192.168.1.251/admin.jnlp, version: null] network: Connecting https://192.168.1.251/admin.jnlp with proxy=DIRECT network: Connecting socket://192.168.1.251:443 with proxy=DIRECT https://192.168.1.251/web/insteon.jar https://192.168.1.251/WEB/CE.JAR https://192.168.1.251/web/chart.jar https://192.168.1.251/WEB/RXTX.jar network: Cache entry not found [url: https://192.168.1.251/web/insteon.jar, version: null] network: Connecting https://192.168.1.251/web/insteon.jar with proxy=DIRECT network: CleanupThread used 1 us network: Downloading resource: https://192.168.1.251/web/insteon.jar Content-Length: 4,272,840 Content-Encoding: null network: Wrote URL https://192.168.1.251/web/insteon.jar to File C:\Users\Tom\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\34\2fa95462-7e4bc1a6-temp security: blacklist: check contains PxGoXf5oZMHDrF5lVggwNnFQBfwTd0TR5vSW1igb4FQ=, state now IN_MEMORY security: blacklist: not found in cache security: Trusted libraries list file not found cache: Create from verifier: JarSigningData{hasOnlySignedEntries=true, hasSingleCodeSource=true, hasMissingSignedEntries=false} network: CleanupThread used 1 us cache: Adding MemoryCache entry: https://192.168.1.251/web/insteon.jar cache: MemoryCache: removed entry https://isy.universal-devices.com/launcher/isy.jnlp cache: MemoryCache: removed entry https://isy.universal-devices.com/launcher/udlogo.png network: Cache entry not found [url: https://192.168.1.251/WEB/CE.JAR, version: null] network: Connecting https://192.168.1.251/WEB/CE.JAR with proxy=DIRECT network: Connecting socket://192.168.1.251:443 with proxy=DIRECT network: CleanupThread used 1 us network: Downloading resource: https://192.168.1.251/WEB/CE.JAR Content-Length: 113,554 Content-Encoding: null network: Wrote URL https://192.168.1.251/WEB/CE.JAR to File C:\Users\Tom\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\19\40933293-33a994f4-temp security: blacklist: check contains l2+GfWmyo73w+lYKaqWCx+5pVtJ6TySusbXhUrneU7U=, state now IN_MEMORY security: blacklist: not found in cache security: Trusted libraries list file not found cache: Create from verifier: JarSigningData{hasOnlySignedEntries=true, hasSingleCodeSource=true, hasMissingSignedEntries=false} network: CleanupThread used 0 us cache: Adding MemoryCache entry: https://192.168.1.251/WEB/CE.JAR
MrBill Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Windows or Mac? It appears you're using admin.jnlp to open the admin console, that might be the best answer for Mac, but if using Windows, please clear the java cache again and switch to the ISY Launcher. (many Mac users also have no problem using the ISY Launcher, however some must use admin.jnlp)
TWalker01 Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 I really tried to include everything but PC no longer has the Windows connotation anymore: Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2 Installed on 1/28/2021 OS build 19044.2130 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0 Like I said - I have read all the Troubleshooting section so I am indeed running ISY Launcher already. The screen shot is what it looks like on my Windows PC. Choosing either LAN or CLOUD hangs in the same spot in JAVA with no Admin console ever appearing. This is new behavior in the last day.
TWalker01 Posted November 5, 2022 Author Posted November 5, 2022 I will add that once you request the Admin Console from the pop-up and it hangs, I can no longer exit by hitting the X in the corner, I must use Task Manager to kill it. Additional information from the Dashboard (which does appear upon request):
Solution MrBill Posted November 5, 2022 Solution Posted November 5, 2022 you may have a minimized or one pixel sized admin console. Try these instructions to delete the .state files. 1
