granitehead Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 I will be purchasing several other keyed Schlage levers / deadbolts and I want them all to work with my BE469ZP key. Build.com lets you key in a "key code". What is the key code for the BE469ZP? Is it the 6-digit Programming Code? Or the 5-digit "DSK" code? Both of which are on the back of the guide that came with the smart deadbolt. Or something else? Thanks!
MrBill Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 @granitehead if you're speaking of a key code for physical keys, its a 5 digit code stamped on OEM keys or provided by a locksmith if locks have been re-keyed. The number specifically indicated the depth of cut for each of the 5 pins in the cylinder. (A 6-pin lock will have a 6 digit code. Residential locks tend to be 5-pin and commercial locks tend to be 6-pin, but that rule isn't hard and fast.) That said I have no idea what manual cylinder is in a BE469ZP. 1

Not sure if it is stamped any where else.
