SSchmidt Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 On the new insteon.com site on their "Technology Compared" page, they state that the "Maximum Theoretical Network Size" is unlimited for Insteon and is 232 for Z-wave. It also states that the "Maximum Practical Network Size" is 1000s for Insteon but only 30-35 for Z-wave. I understand that a matrix like this is typically self serving but is there any merit to a limit of 35 Z-wave devices? If so, what happens if there are 50 or 60 or more Z-wave devices? Thank you, Steve

Techman Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 Each Z-wave controller can support 232 devices. The Insteon protocol is superior to Z-wave on many fronts. Here's a Q & A for Z-wave Z-Wave FAQs (clarecontrols.com) Advanced Z-Wave Concepts (clarecontrols.com)

larryllix Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Betamax was terrible if you put it in a VHS machine though. No wonder people don't buy it anymore.Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk 1
