I have tried several times to add a new user (in hopes of solving my problem) to Portal but each time I get "email not verified". Is Portal working, occupancy working? Quote

Are you using the same portal username and trying to add a second geofence for another user? or are you using multiple portal usernames? If this, I'm not surprised it doesn't work. Quote
SHM Posted January 11, 2023 Author Posted January 11, 2023 I am using the same portal (mine) and trying to add a second geofence for my wife (separate iPhone). Have tried everything but no luck, so I thought I would try to add her as a user to see if that made a difference. When I try that and add her email, it shows up as "unverified" and she has not received any message to verify it. Quote
MrBill Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Log into the portal. Use "Select tool" then select "Occupancy Node Server" and then "Occupancy" you should see a window like this: Click the "Add a Geofence" button at the top. Type your wife's name, when asked to to name it. I also choose to add mine to the "Home" folder. If you didn't create a "home" folder you may want to do that first, having such a folder does the logic for you... i.e. 'away' if all devices are away, 'home' if at least one device is home. I added test: Test immediately populated in my ISY's device tree: Use this button: to get the url's for that row. you can test them by pasting them into a normal browser window. then install them in Locative or whatever app on your wife's phone. SHM Posted January 17, 2023 Author Posted January 17, 2023 So I tried your recommendation and entered a geofence (with URL) for me an my wife's iPhone in ISY Occupancy. Used Locative to enter the appropriate URL for each person as a GET command. Both nodes (mine and my wife's) show up in the ISY, but only my geofence is updated by Locative. Have re-checked all URL data and nothing seems to be wrong. Not sure why my ISY node is updated but not my wife's. Any ideas? Quote
MrBill Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 If you open Locative to the first screen "Locations" and can long press your location and it will allow you to manually trigger an Exit event or manually Trigger an Enter Event. Trigger the exit and watch the node display in the admin console, it should change right away. Likewise you can trigger the enter event and watch it change back. did you copy and paste the urls, or attempt type them manually? Quote
