Query All - Out of Memory after migration from ISY994i

I migrated from an ISY994i to my new eisy; all seems to be working fine.  However, when I look at my programs, the original "Query All" program that came with my ISY994i has under Activity, "- Not Loaded -" and Status "Out of Memory".

The program code itself has been replaced with a comment that says:

"Warning:  Unrecognized Action (program may not run)
<cmd NODE="00:21:b9:xx:xx:xx" ID="QUERY"/>

And the NODE= mac address is the mac of my old ISY994i.

How do I fix this?

Check your programs tab for whatever program is checking the status of your old ISY when ran and update it with your eISY from the list of devices if even needed.

I put away my old ISY994i, but after digging it out again I see that it just performs a "Query" command on the target of my entire ISY, which I presume means it just checks the status of every Insteon device on my system.

So I fixed it on my eisy; I guess the only other question is if this program is even really necessary anymore?

That is not abnormal, the node ID which is MAC address has changed so just edit that line and select Your Devices My LIghting or whatever it is called If you restored from backup it is probably still called My Lighting but I know my default Polisy it was named Polisy, and EISY I presume is EISY.. .restoring an ISY backup will change it to whatever it was My LIghting was original name for it.

Yes it is necessary because if you reboot your EISY, all the default states of devices are in unknown state and may not operate correctly until a light/device is manually turned on or off once in AC, or queried. Query on start makes sure that IoX knows the state of all devices. I think actualy it is more for toggle buttons in things like homebridge/homekit, UD Mobile, Alexa, Google etc. that has a button to turn on/off... if it is in an unknown state you will not be able to turn on or off this way until it is queried. IoX keeps track of all states but can get messed up so that is why it runs at 3am by default to update itself. It may be an intensive operation on the network and affect performance of other programs etc so presumes you are sleeping at this time and not notice.

@oatflake The original reason for the “Query” program was to sync all devices and the ISY. Doing it at 3am meant there would generally be low traffic/noise so Insteon traffic would be processed better.

It’s not really needed, but if you start having noise issues then it helps by bringing status in sync daily. It also helps if you have battery devices to trigger a status sync when other traffic/noise might not interfere.

You could disable it and see if you have status sync issues. But it doesn’t usually harm anything to just run daily. If you’re having issues with it then it might indicate other system issues.
