I updated my ISY from 5.3.0 to 5.34.  Now it only boots in safe mode.  I don't use Insteon (All Z-wave),  so no PLM.  I have a good backup,  but that doesn't help.  I even did Factory reset,  and it remain 5.3.4 and looks for PLM.

There are two versions of the firmware, one for the PLM and one if you're not using a PLM. The reason it boots up in safe mode is because it's looking for the PLM.

You need to Install the Z-wave only version of the firmware.

Download firmware

  -  ISY 994i Series including Z-Wave support

  -  ISY 994i ZW, Z, or ZS Series (Z-Wave/Zigbee and/or if you do NOT have a PLM)

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.

  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
