vbPhil Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 I quite often get a Request Failed or some sort of TCP error when selecting the Query button in the Admin Console for a battery-operated Z-Wave device. It's my understanding that a battery device is asleep and wouldn't hear a command from the controller. Which possess the question on what exactly does that query button do in this case? Can someone explain this for me? Quote

I think the button is part of the ZWave set up, I believe Polisy/eisy doesn't customize features depending on battery device or not(?). Edited February 18, 2023 by DennisC Added info Quote
Techman Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 Battery operated devices cannot be queried because they go to sleep in order to save the battery. The query option is there in the event you use an external power supply to power the device. 1 Quote
