ctviggen1
I upgraded to the EISY. I have GE Z-wave in-wall smart fan controls (Jasco 14287). I can control the fans through the EISY. Alexa through the ISY portal, however, says that the hub is not responding for any fan. What do I do to fix this? Link to comment
MrBill
did you do step 9 of the migration process? Does Alexa control anything else via eisy? Link to comment
ctviggen1
Yes. ALL of my Insteon works fine through Alexa. The ONLY zwave I have that's controlled by Alexa are my ceiling fans, three of them. NONE of those work through Alexa. 1 Link to comment
Javi
Are you using the Z-Matter USB stick? Does the Address of the Z-Wave device match? ISY had ZW prefix to Z-Wave Addresses, Z-Matter prefix is ZY. 1 Link to comment
ctviggen1
Sorry, the end of the school year with two teens, both in different plays from different schools, is brutal. This weekend, for instance, we have dance recital, this week we had many longer dance classes, an award ceremony for my wife, .... That does appear to be the problem. Since I do this so rarely (as in never, I think(, how do I correct this? Something like this? 1) remove everything that's zwave from the ISY portal 2) remove those same zwave devices from the Alexa app 3) "reinstall" the zwave devices to the ISY portal 4) Have Alexa find new devices Does this sound correct? landolfi
I had this problem with Alexa after a Zmatter migration because the device names changed from ZW to ZY. I had to delete all the ZW nodes and replace them with the ZY. Unfortunately the migration instructions did not mention this possibility. Link to comment
ctviggen1
So,I found what was zwave on the Isy portal, then looked at the terms I used for each one. I removed those terms from Alexa using the app, then removed the zwave item from the portal. I did that for the 5-6 zwave items I had, then added in the "new" zwave items to the portal, then had Alexa find new devices. This worked. 1 Link to comment
