MarkJames Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 (edited) I just finished migrating and have not tried to access the eISY from outside my home. Today I've been trying but have been unsuccessful. Hopefully it's a pebkac and someone can point out where I'm going wrong. I've been doing this for years with my ISY994 but for some reason this one has me stuck My router is at, say, 192.168.0.101. I've forwarded incoming tcp/udp 9000 to 192.168.0.101 port 443. If I try to add https://myip:9000 I get 'not found'. Any thoughts? Or even better - is there a way to launch the admin console via the portal? TIA [edit] figured it out - should have forwarded to port 8080. I can't seem to delete my post, though. A much better way to access eisy from outside your network is through the portal, no port forwarding is required. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#ISY_Portal:_Integration_with_Amazon_Echo.2FGoogle_Home.2FIFTTT https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_Installation_Instructions
MarkJames Posted July 12, 2023 Author Posted July 12, 2023 I've had a portal subscription since inception and use it regularly but I've not seen a way to access admin console through it. I can access all my programs and devices but I can't write or edit without admin console.

I can access all my programs and devices but I can't write or edit without admin console. Go to and log in: https://my.isy.io/index.htm Find your device in the list and click on Select tool - Information - ISY Information Copy the full URL address listed next to: Admin Console URL: Back on your desktop, start the IoX Launcher Select Add Paste the full URL address copied above from the portal and hit OK This should list your device with the portal access URL. To access, click on the portal access URL instead of the local address. Note: When you log in via the portal, you must use your portal credentials and not your device credentials. If you want, you can click on Save in the IoX Launcher to save the file of Launcher URL's in case it is returned to default during an upgrade. 3 1
MarkJames Posted July 12, 2023 Author Posted July 12, 2023 (edited) I'd seen that post and tried it but the info that comes up in my portal looks like this ::ffff:myip the myip portion is, of course, my ip, but the ::ffff: is part of what shows in the info window. Cutting and pasting that into the iox launcher just gives me 'bad url'. [edit] oops - just noticed the full url there that does, indeed, work in the iox launcher. Thanks - that will save me time in the future and also a port forward Edited July 12, 2023 by MarkJames 1
