Over time I had a lot of issues with them going bad and would replace them. Eventually I got rid of them and moved over to Bond WiFi fan controllers. Will probably be hit and miss. As @oberkc says no issues there. However, I have 3 running and have had to replace 2 within 7 years and might be replacing one again soon…seem to have lost high speed on one that rarely runs. Two of the fans run nearly year round in bedrooms (reversed in winter) and only one is still an original, installed about 7 years ago. Haven't bought new hardware since Insteon restarted, but last shipment I got was “current” before they went out of business. One was easier to replace at the time. Ended up refurbing it and it’s now a spare to test if/when another fails. The first one to fail was replaced by Insteon under warranty and sent back for review. brians Posted October 23, 2023 Share Posted October 23, 2023 I had a very old fanlinc that lost a speed, and I believe it was caused by a program I was testing which had a race condition rapidly turning on/off fan repeatedly since I witnessed it happen and was shutting down program at the time.
