paulbates Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 (edited) 117 production plugins is a great testament to this community. At the same time, it's daunting for me to navigate. I have suggestions for this page in the table of plugins to make navigation more straightforward for those that are interested in what's available The basic idea is remove "Language", that doesn't help me decide to get a plugin. With Polyglot, it doesn't affect me. What would help is the developers identifying their plugins function in fixed categories, and the page sorting the list this way when I open it... All Lighting plugins are together, Weather plugins are together, Thermostat plugins, etc Field Suggested Change to the field Language Remove Language field, replace it with suggested categories Categories: Ask developers to pick their plugins group Powerline & Lighting, Weather, AV Remotes, Sensors & IO, Pool, Sprinklers, Cameras, Alarm, Thermostat, Hubs, Appliances & Cars, Integration & notification (MQTT, IFTTT, notification go here), Multi function, Others. Make this the default sort Description Too much text at this level is daunting. Limit the view to the first 40- 50 character followed by "...". The developers first 50 characters should "say what it is". When I click on the plugins button, I read all of the important details they wrote in their description on the plugin's page Installed Remove. I can use the main navigation to see my plugins, and the plugin's page will tell me The categories are my suggestions, some kind of tagging and sorting would help me greatly Edited December 5, 2023 by paulbates It already is sortable by author 3 Quote
