wwat Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Your quite welcome to remote in to my machine and perform the upgrade, you would need to roll it back first. And of course there is no guarentee that it will happen while your watching Regards, Hi Wayne, I must agree with you ... the only problem is that if we cannot reproduce it we cannot fix it. In any case, I have now put this on our bug list to make sure it's going to be looked at more thoroughly. In the meantime, if you can think of anything that you may have done prior to this issue, it would greatly help us in debugging. With kind regards, Michel Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 Hi Wayne, Does this happen every time you do an upgrade (or, let's say the majority of time)? With kind regards, Michel Quote
wwat Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Hi Wayne, Does this happen every time you do an upgrade (or, let's say the majority of time)? With kind regards, Michel Michel, I don't recall if it happens on every upgrade. It has certainly happened at least 4 times (perhaps more) I just dont recall if it was the last 4 upgrades, and it happens to the switch in the same location of the house (Main bathroom) Regards, Wayne Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 Hi Wayne, I think there's surely something wrong with the configuration file for this device. It might be corrupted, backed up corrupted, and the upgrade simply tries to recover from a corruption. If this does not happen without an upgrade, then what I suggest is to just leave it as is for now. Before the next upgrade - and although painful - I recommend removing this device from ISY completely and starting from scratch. With kind regards, Michel Quote
Illusion Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Possible bug Just added a 2477SA2 NC dual band 240V 30A controller for my water heater. The 'On' button in the Admin Console turns the device off. The only way to get the device to to on (and stop the flow of electricity to my water heater) is to use the 'Fast On' in the admin console. If I then use the 'off', 'fast off', or 'on' it will turn the device off. Also, shouldn't this device have 3 nodes? 1 for controlling the relays, and 2 for sensing "Load On" and "Load Off". As it is now, if I wanted to use this included feature it seems that I would have to use the tap linking method. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 Hello Illusion, This device is not yet officially supported since we just got our hands on a couple quite recently. With kind regards, Michel Quote
Illusion Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Copy. Thanks for the quick reply... as always. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted July 18, 2010 Author Posted July 18, 2010 My pleasure Illusion. We are still trying to figure out if we can put ELK in our next release and thus the hold up on the next release. In short, support for this device should be in our next release. With kind regards, Michel Quote
NewTech Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Long time- no posts! Haven't had ANY problems or even questions about my ISY. But, tonight I tried several times to manually and automatically upgrade from version 2.7.11 to version 2.7.15 and each time I tried I received an error message that the ISY refused the update. This is similar to the problems I had before when Michel K. helped me upgrade to version 2.7.11. I've been reluctant to attempt another upgrade but finally gave into trying this latest upgrade this evening. Thanks so much! Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 Hello Mike R. Long time no see! I am so very glad to hear that everything seems to be working. The last time we tried the upgrade, the problem was the new firewall that was installed on your computer. Do you still have the same firewall or have you changed to a new one? With kind regards, Michel Quote

With kind regards, Michel Version 2.7.15......... DONE!!! I'm not sure I was logging into my ISY using the correct method. I usually access it by using the 99i Administrative Console from my desktop. When I logged into it by using the http://your.isy.ip.address/admin it upgraded just fine! And, I did not need to disable Trend to upgrade! Thanks, Michel! Quote
rygh Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I cannot upgrade. Gets about 13%, fails with invalid length. I disabled windows firewall. I disabled anti-virus. I turned off bit-defender privacy controls. (An issue before once) I tried both firefox and exlporer. I checked the way it logs in. No luck. Out of ideas. I am running 2.7.0. PC, running Vista. Thanks, -Mark Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 Hello Mark, Apologies for the inconvenience. Would you be kind enough to try https://your.isy.ip.address/admin instead? Please note httpS and not http. With kind regards, Michel Quote
rygh Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Sorry, busy last night. So I tried https (S), and it made no difference. (Well a few complaints about certificates, but that was easy) I tried both manually and automatically. No luck with either. I upgrade java to make sure it was not that. I am wondering if my current version 2.7.0 is too old, and I need to switch to an intermediate version first. But no idea where to get one. Thanks, -Mark Quote

rygh Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Hi, Invalid length error. But I just solved it a different way. I used my work computer (A mac), and it upgraded fine. So no idea why it could not work on the PC, but I am ok now. Thanks, -Mark Hi Mark, do you get invalid length error or "ISY refused program update"?
