Yolink Motion Sensor

In AC under a motion sensor it has buttons for “motion, no motion, and query” They don’t seem to do anything. Also have options for “motion and no motion” under programming but when used in a program they do nothing…

I would like to be able to send an only on command (motion) from sensor like I could with Insteon ms.

Thanks

I tried programming control on but wouldn’t work correctly. Trying to replace all my Insteon ms with these but can’t just replace in programs.even with changing app settings

I think something is wrong with your version

Mine looks like this - you can select if only DON (motion) DOF (no-motion), both and none can be selected

My understanding is that this is want triggers the AC integration outside programs - I believe this is what you are looking for.

The motion and NoMotion buttons are to send a DON/DOF from the device (even if there is no motion)

Does yours look different?

I deleted ms from AC. Shut down AC retasrted ns. Restarted AC and the MS showed up in same config as my photo.

This was a new MS added yesterday. Added 3 new yesterday and none look like your example with the on off commands

Deleted from nodeserver and reinstalled. Now it looks correct.

Hate to be PIA but what would you expect the buttons at the bottom of screen marked “Motion and no motion” to do. They don’t seem to do anything. In programming “set” to motion or no motion does nothing either.

They are supposed to send trigger (DON / DOF) like the motion sensor would do - allowing you to trigger a scene/program - you can look in PG3 log to see if a cmd('DON" .. ) is sent

I thought it works but I could be wrong

It may not be of much use - I am not personally using them

What function is it you need? - I think you can set the motion sensor to only send on Motion, and when it exists motion (that is the new field)

The 2 buttons are to force a motion event - you can do the same in a program by running the then event

The two buttons don’t force a motion event nor does running the then event in a program containing a motion or no motion command. At least I can’t get it to.

I can get it to only send on or only off commands but the buttons I would think would override the setting.
I’ll jack with it more.

The buttons are not working now

I can enable them again - I removed them, but forgot to remove them in the profile so they show up but with no function

I think you need to test the sensor working

From what I can see (besides timing) it should offer then same as the insteon (I have)

It can trigger only on alerts or trigger on both alert and when no alert happens - My node further offers to only trigger on no_alert

Note, it send DON for alert and DOF when no_alert happens
