Gremlins happening with my Insteon devices and EISY

Hi, folks. Sorry if this is not posted to the correct forum.

I have around 100 Insteon devices connecting to my EISY and I recently have been having some strange things happen. I am wondering if someone might help me with things to try. Everything had been running great for many months if not over a year. Recently, some things started seeming to become temporarily inaccessible the the system and not responding as they should at times. I attached a photo of one recurring offender with a red !. Usually, doing a Query makes it come back for a while. This is happening to a few devices over and over.

I have done factory resets on the switches/outlets in question. I have done "Restore Device" commands. I have reflashed the EISY to the current version of 5.8.4 and my PG3x is 3.2.27. I have run the Upgrade Packages command and rebooted the EISY. I have done a Restore Modem (PLM) command. I have done a main "Restore Devices" command. I even restored the EISY from a backup that was prior to the issues starting. I do also have a few Polyglots running and the USB > Z-wave adapter I got from UD. There are several Z-Wave devices connected, but not seem to have issues.

I have not yet tried a factory reset on the PLM or swapping another one, and have not factory reset the EISY. I am just trying to figure out what is getting flakey here. Some of the misbehaving devices have clamed down, but others continue to get goofy. There are a number of switches and outlets that have had issues recently.

Am I wrong in thinking the PLM might be having some communication issues? Any way I can get a better idea of how to pin point it or other things the experts here might suggest I try to do or do again?

Thanks so much in advance!

Lee

It appears that you have a communications problem between the PLM and your devices.  It's possible that the you could have interference on the powerline. Have you recently added any new appliances or other electricial devices?

Take a look at this wiki article:
