Hint for entering UAID and secret key

Just got into YoLink for their leak sensors and installed the plugin. Many thanks to Panda88 for supporting the plugin - works great!

If you follow the configuration instructions, you need to generate a UAID and secret key in the YoLink mobile app and then enter it into the polyglot console. Unfortunately, YoLink does not have a web/desktop app, so you might start typing in the very long key by hand. After doing this, I suddenly realized that you can go into the YoLink app and tap on the copy icon next to the key and paste it into an email and send it to yourself and then copy and paste from the email to the console.

I'm sure others have thought of this, but just passing it on.

Maybe save someone a bunch of typing!

(on a Mac, if you copy something on your phone, you have access to paste it immediately from your computer clipboard.  super easy!  :) )

@Andy P welcome to the world of YoLink! It's been fun to grow that system for me.

I recall using the iOS notes app and then getting the codes from the iCloud site. That way I wasn't passing secure info through unsecure email severs.

@dbwarner5 I do like being able to do that between iPhone and iPad, but haven't broken down to overpay for a computer yet (doesn't fit my "work" life).

NOTE: Be sure not to have a blank space before or after the UAID and Keys. That's been the issue with some in the past.

Great suggestions - and the windows equivalent would be to paste it into a text document on Onedrive to avoid using email. Thanks.
