How long to link devices?

How long should Linking Devices take to complete, assuming that I only have 12 devices with simple instructions? Also, why isn't there a progress bar or icon or is that what the "system busy" type means?

Thanks for your help tonight. Everyone was right—you are the man. I've never had any company provide the level of service you offer. The new beta is functioning great! The only problems I've experienced so far are user errors. Keep up the great work!
