I have a program that turns devices on and off several times per day. I would like to send a text message for each time it does this. I already have IFTTT webhooks connected but do not know where to start

What UD device are you running?

Native notifications via email to text have been unreliable. Using the Notification plugin makes it more reliable. Add Pushover to the mix and you are rock solid.

Check the wiki and UD plugin store for more information.

Here is an IFTTT webhook I use for reference.  This is not to send a text, but how it is configured would be the same, you would just call a different webhook.
