ISY99 and second power grid

I have two buildings that are on separate power grids. They do share the same IP network.

Is there any way to have a single ISY99i oversee devices that are in both buildings? Some way to connect or bridge the two power systems?

If not, can 2 ISY99i devices co-exist on the same IP network?

How far apart are they? I've hear of access points bridging a couple hundred feet.

Hello narenpublic,

I do not know if you can bridge two different power grids (most probably you are going to have phase issues).

You can have as many ISY's as you would like on the same network. The only caveat is that you must use the /99i/admin.jnlp so that you can choose between them otherwise (/99i) will bring up the Admin Console for the first one found on your network.

With kind regards,

Michel

The buildings are only 50 feet apart. When you say "bridging" -- is this just a natural side effect or is some thing else required? There may even be some electrical wires from B1 that are only 10 feet or so from B2.

If no modifications/hardware are required, I guess I just plug/install some device in B2 and see if the ISY picks it up?

Michael, thanks for the tip on the admin page.
