Lost fast off and fast on function for all switches

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Noticed that one of my switches did not work with fast off and on.

Tried another switch controlling other lights and also did not work.

Reset the switch and still did not work.

Setup a new fast off scene on a different switch and it did not work.

Restore the device in the ISY software and it did not work.

Ran tools-diagnostics-show device links table

Have not revised anything recently in the system

Can anyone see an issue from this? What next?

How old is your PLM. There'll be a sticker with 4 digits on the back that can be decoded here if you don't know.

Try unplugging and replugging the PLM and retesting... If things start working it will mean the PLM is starting to die.

Also, can you post an image of the PLM links table; how many links are in it and how many devices do you have?

Also, try a "restore device" on the one example you gave and retest.

Forgot to write that down. I did a restore on the switch in the program. Did not correct the issue.

Ok, pressing and holding for 5 seconds factory reset the switch, wiping out its link table. You need to go into the admin console, pick the device and "restore device"

Is the bottom chart the link table you are asking for?

PLM 2413 S V2.2 1622

ISY UD 994 sn 0016279

Un plugging and replugging did not fix it.

The problem is not with your PLM or your ISY

Your firmware and UI must be the same version. Your screenshot shows your firmware at 4.9.0 and your UI at 4.7.3. You need to clear your java cache, be sure to check all three boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here. This will update your UI to 4.9.0

https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp

So both say 4.9.0 now and none of my switches will fast tap work. I did a restore switch after also.

A PLM with only 2 links is a broken PLM, there should be at least dozens of links. 1622 means week 22 of 2016, a period when PLMs had the bad capacitor issue.

I don't disagree with @Techman on aligning FW/UI versions, but your PLM is on borrowed time.

tried the links again and only the same two. So ordered a new PLM. Will see!!

Thanks all!!!

One last thing to try - remove power from the PLM and the ISY. Wait about 30 seconds then power up the PLM, wait about 15 seconds then power up the ISY
