@PaulB since the ISY994 is no longer supported by UDI my guess would be that you would still be able to use the Java Admin Console interface that it has always had. The new update will only apply to the newer eisy (and I guess Polisy, but that's just my guess).

Since the ISY994 uses the IoX Finder (start.jnlp) and Java I don't expect that to end. You shoudl also be able to continue to use the admin.jnlp downloaded directly from the device.

No new development is for the ISY994. Therefore the mention of updated method to access admin console (or the re-design whatever it will be considered) only applies to currently supported devices.

Thanks for the replies. As long as the current Java interface will continue to work, it looks like for my situation, there is no urgent need to upgrade to the EISY.

Follow-up question.... will users of the ISY944 also have ongoing access to the ISY cloud portal once the interface for the EISY goes migrates from Java based to HTML?

I think we're speculating on something we can't knowt yet. I can't imagine UDI designing a solution that cuts off functioning customers, too many still on 994i. They don't support it, but different than cutting it off at this time.

Since they've mentioned creating a replacement for AC/Iox only,  the core ISY product in eisy will probably not change much.. and the web interface will be a module running on polisy/eisy, web on one side and interface to v5 of ISY on the other to maintain its local only capability. But that's my speculation.

At this point UDI wants us to know that they're actively working on it. And, for January, they're saying they've started laying the groundwork, not to expect web iox then. It was matter and other features to be released in January.
